Flying with Drukair
Drukair is the only airline that flies in and out of the country of Bhutan, and it has four planes total. The logo of the airline is the Thunder Dragon, which is found on the flag of Bhutan. This airline is very high quality and provides excellent service. While boarding there is pleasant music playing and when all the passengers have put their bags away and found their seats, everyone is given a moist towelette to clean their hands with. This is followed by the take off of the plane and the immediate beautiful scenery.
The plane flies first to India and then continues on to Paro in Bhutan. The entire flight is about 2 hours or so and is very comfortable. A meal is brought in during the first part of the flight, and following after that a breath mint or candy is given to the passengers. Drinks are presented twice during the flight and the stewards and stewardesses are very attentive and honestly happy to help you at any time.
If you sit on the left side of the plane coming into Bhutan, you will see the beautiful snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas, and if the weather is clear you can even see Mount Everest. When leaving Bhutan, sit on the right side of the plane to enjoy the same view. You can request which side of the plane to sit on when presenting your visa and information at the check-in counter at the airport.
